Lenzie Old is now registered as a dementia friendly church with Alzheimer Scotland. Anne ‘O’ Donnell, community activities organiser of Alzheimer Scotland presented the award at our recent Come and Sing dementia friendly singing group Christmas party. Lenzie Old property committee have worked very hard over this last year to make adjustments to the inside and outside of the church, halls and garden to make them dementia friendly. We are very proud to receive this award and delighted that our church is now tailored to meet the needs of those living with dementia. Rev Louise McClements said that our building being registered as dementia friendly is essential in Lenzie Old being an all-inclusive church where all people are welcomed and safe.
