On Thursday 2nd March a meeting was held with Angi Inch, Dementia Advisor for East Dunbartonshire and our Minister, Session Clerks and representatives from “Come & Sing, Lenzie” After discussion, a Commitment was signed to begin plans to make Lenzie Old a “Dementia Friendly” church.
The first step will be an audit of our buildings, to see what could be done to make the church and halls more accessible and comfortable for people with dementia.
Angi said “I’m delighted to have this association with the church and to find such enthusiasm and commitment to making the church more inclusive”.
