The Big Walk which takes place over three weeks in the run up to the Big Lunch day every year is all about shining a light on the amazing work going on in the communities across the country.
Our Team Scotland walkers this year are covering nearly 400 miles from Morecambe to Dundee, stopping to visit community projects all along the route, learning about what they do and sharing their stories.
The Big Walk has chosen to stop in Kirkintilloch to learn about the fantastic intergenerational work carried out by students from Lenzie Academy. As part of this, we’ll be having lunch and some songs in Lenzie Old Parish Church with the Come and Sing group and the Thursday Club between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesday 22nd May before setting off north for the next leg of their journey
